Past Events
Adult Prom Fundraiser
Our Enchantment Under the Sea Adult Prom was a joyful and memorable evening filled with dancing, laughter, and community spirit—all in support of the vital work Peninsula Poverty Response does year-round. Guests enjoyed music from our DJ, delicious hors d’oeuvres, games, raffles, photos, and the crowning of Prom Royalty. Thanks to the incredible turnout and generosity of attendees, this fundraiser helped strengthen our ability to provide essential programs like The Hub, Laundry Love, and Project Community Connect. It was a night of fun with a meaningful purpose, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success.

Propane Event
Our November Propane Event was an incredible success and a powerful demonstration of what community support can achieve. Thanks to generous donations and our partnership with Active Enterprises, we were able to provide 1,537.9 gallons of propane to 134 families across the Long Beach Peninsula—helping them stay warm, safe, and supported as colder weather arrives. Active Enterprises graciously staffed the event, pumping propane throughout the day and ensuring everything ran smoothly. This event highlights just how essential these services are for our neighbors facing financial hardship, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making it possible.

In addition to our propane events designed to provide essential heating and cooking fuel assistance, Peninsula Poverty Response is committed to ensuring community safety. We also offer a vital service to exchange unsafe or deteriorating propane tanks for safe, functional ones. Furthermore, we can replace out-of-code valves on existing tanks, making sure your equipment complies with current safety regulations and operates reliably. These efforts are part of our dedication to providing low-barrier, immediate assistance while prioritizing the well-being of our community members.
